Prachi Desai | The making of a reputed actress

Prachi Desai is more popularly known as Bani from Kasam Se. At one time, she was one of television’s most favorite daughters-in-law. This is the story of a Surat girl and her scrutiny on the small and big screens. Desai has been fond of dancing and acting since childhood. She never knew this passion would make her a big star. The fame she earned in the TV industry is admirable. Let’s dig into the story of Prachi Desai.

Prachi Desai background-

Prachi Desai was born on 12th September 1988 in Surat. Her parent’s names are Niranjan Desai and Ameeta Desai. Prachi’s sister’s name is Esha Desai. She completed her schooling at St. Joseph Convent School, Surat. Then, the girl moved to Sinhagad college, Pune. Currently, she lives in Lokhandwala, with her mother and sister. There exists a close friendship between Prachi Desai and Ekta Kapoor. Which is much appreciated by her fans.

Prachi Desai’s success journey-

While in college, Prachi actively participated in modeling workshops. Just after college, she got accepted for the role of Bani in Kasam Se. It turned out to be a turning point in her career. She worked for a long time with Balaji telefilms. Then, the lady decided to try her luck in movies. She debuted in the film ‘Rock On’. Farhan Akhtar was her co-star. She successively worked in various movies. Despite so much fame, the Lyra girl still had to lose the film due to the casting couch. But Prachi never allowed such experience to be a hurdle in her path. She has covered a long way with her hard work.

Career-

Prachi started her journey with the Zee TV drama ‘Kasam Se’. Then, she participated in Jhalak Dikhla Jaa with choreographer Deepak Singh. And guess what? She won the show. Desai also appeared in a cameo in Kasauti Zindagi Ki. After that, she turned her head toward Bollywood. Her first movie debut was Rock On. She had to pause her television journey to continue with movies. Subsequently, she worked as a life partner( 2009). Later in 2010, her appearance was noted in Once Upon a Time in Mumbai. She had also worked in Main Joker( 2011), but the movie was never released due to some issues. Prachi was noted in a cameo in Teri Meri Kahani. Next came, the biggest hit of her career- Bol Bachchan( 2012). Some other movies starring Prachi Desai are I, Me Aur Main( 2013), and Policegiri( 2013). The lady was also praised for an item number in Ek villain( 2014). In 2016, Prachi appeared in two movies- Azhar and Rock On 2. Apart from it, she has also worked in web series and commercials. Remember the girl in the Lyra advertisement? Her story has not ended yet. She has various upcoming projects in her bag.
