In August 2022, Sony’s Columbia Pictures declared that Chris Pratt will be voicing the iconic grumpy cat “Garfield.” It will be an animated movie based on the titular character Garfield. Chris announced the news via his Twitter handle. In the tweet, he mentioned that the movie will be releasing on President’s Day weekend in 2024. Moreover, in the animated movie, legendary actor Samuel L. Jackson will be voicing the character of Garfield’s (Chris Pratt) father Vic. Renowned writer David Reynolds, who wrote the blockbuster animated movie Fiding Nemo, has written Garfield. Originally, Garfield was written as a comic strip in 1978. It revolves around a lazy orange cat and his michiefs in the human world.
