Darshan Raval | Journey from Rawstar to a singing sensation

Darshan Raval is a famous singer, music composer, songwriter, actor and YouTuber. He was born on 18 October 1994 in Ahmedabad. He has had no formal training in music. The chocolate boy of the music industry is known for his soulful music melody and his songs touch the heart of the people of India and he is an internationally famous singer.

Education

The Gujarati boy Darshan Raval was a scholar of Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul, Ahmedabad. After the completion of his education, he participated in Yo Yo Honey Singh’s reality show Raw Star in 2014, where he emerged as the first runner up of the show. This marked the beginning of his career. His father Rajendra Raval is a writer and his mother Rajal Raval is a homemaker.

Career

Darshan Raval started his career in a reality show on star plus “India’s Raw Star”, he didn’t won the show and this was heartbreak for all his fans who want him to be the winner of the show. He got a music album after this he made his career in the music industry. His one of the best music albums Tera Zikra crossed almost 100 million views. He has given many amazing sponges, Garba night songs Chogada and Kamaria won the heart of millions of lovers and made him his fan. Darshan has to face many obstacles in his life and career. His rivals became jealous of him and he had to face many drawbacks in his career. The journey from looser to winner was not easy for Darshan.

Darshan after starting as a composer in 2014 with ‘Pehli Mohabbat’ gained broadlevel appreciations. The song turned out to be a big hit in the same year he made his singing debut in the Gujarati film industry with ‘its time to party in the movie ‘Whisky Is. Risky’ in 2015 Raval received his first Bollywood break with “Jab Tum Chaho” in Salman’s movie “Ratan Dhan Payo”.

After this he sang the title track “Mere Nishaan” for the TV serial “Phir Bhi Na Maane… Badtameez Dil”. He has written lyrics for various songs including “Meri Pehli Mohabbat”, “Ishq Chada Hai”, “Kevo Thayo Pagal Hoon”, and “Ye Baarish” and “Baarish Lete Aana”. He owns a music band named “Dip Zip Band”.

Awards

Darshan Raval received the Transmedia Gujarati Screen & Stage Award for Best Male Singer in 2015. His favourite singers and inspirations are A.R.Rahman and Himesh Reshammiya.

Once it was said that Raval was thrown out of his colleagues as he was not a good student. He never took the training for learning Guitar, he has learned it from the video tutorial on youtube. In 2017 he was titled the Most Desirable Man by Ahmedabad Times. He has stolen many hearts of his followers from his singing debut and his cuteness. Not only in Gujarati Industry but also in Bollywood Darshan has earned several awards and recognitions. He has made his name and fame through his amazing talent without any support or contact.
