Armaan Malik is a versatile Bollywood personality: singer, songwriter, record producer, voice-over, performer and actor. He has given his voice to songs in various languages including Hindi, Telugu, English, Malayalam , Marathi, Kannada, Tamil, Gujrati, Punjabi and Urdu.
Armaan became youngest singer to win two debut awards at Global Indian Music Awards (GiMA) and the best playback singer award at BIG Star Entertainment Award in 2015.

Early Life

Born on July 22, 1995, Armaan is the son of Daboo Malik, a music composer and Jyothi Malik who belongs to a Telugu family. Belonging to Mumbai: The City of Dreams, he grew up in a family of four: his parents and brother Amaal Malik.
Armaan attended Jamnabai Narsee School, Mumbai till high school. Following which, He became a part of Berklee College of Music, Boston, Massachusetts.

Career

Armaan Malik began his musical journey at the mere age of four. In 2006, he participated in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs. But neither did he show up a lot in the show nor did she win the show. Following this, Armaan looking to train in Hindustani classical music for straight 10 years at the great Berklee College of Music, Boston.

Armaan lent his voice for an english boy in the film My name is khan and a character Salim in the radio version of Slumdog Millionaire. In 2014, He sang Tumko Toh Aana Hi Tha”, “Love You Till The End (House Mix)” and the “Title Track” for Salman Khan’s movie Jai Ho. Along with that, Armaan with his brother Amaal , a music composer, featured in the beginning of the film Jai ho.

Breakthrough

Armaan rose to fame with the song Main hoon Hero Tera of the film Hero in 2015. Next to which, He sang Kwahishein” for Calendar Girls and “Tumhe Aapna Banane Ka” for Hate Story 3. It was under the composition of his brother Amaal Malik. Also, He vocalized another song of Hate Story 3, “Wajah Tum ho” which was Baman’s composition. At the end of the year, Armaan released a single Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon composed by Amaal Malik. As a result, He was awarded with Filmfare R.D. Burman Award for New Music Talent in the year.

In 2016, Armaan sang Title Track of Sanam Re, Rom Rom Romantic of Mastizaade, Buddhu sa mann from Kapoor and Sons, Bol do na Zara from Azhar and Kuch to hai from Do Lafzon ki Kahani. He again worked with Amaal as a composer in the song  Sab Tera of the film Baaghi. Working with Jeet Gannguli, he voiced the song Mujhko Barsaat Banalo for the film Junooniyat. Armaan was the lead singer of the film M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story. He also sanged four songs for the Hindi soundtrack and 3 songs for Tamil soundtrack under Amaal’s composition. Malik sang “Sau Asmaan” from Baar Baar Dekho and “Ishaara” for Force 2. He sang for “Pal pal dil ke paas reprise” and also “Dil mein chupa lunga remake”. Armaan had also sung for Noor, Chef, and Golmaal Again, again under Amaal’s composition. In 2018, he sang a single “Ghar se Nikalte hi” which was a hit. Later in 2019, Armaan voiced the songs Dil Me Ho Tum”, Jab Se Mera Dil, and  Chale Aana. He also sang Pehla Pyaar for the superhit film Kabir Singh.

Present

The Year 2020 proved to be fortunate for Armaan. He became the first artist to appear on Top Thriller Global Billboard charts twice. A couple of weeks later, Armaan’s second single “How many”. The song rejoiced his heritage by using an Indian Tabla on the beat. Following this, he began making Hollywood songs. He says It was quite daunting for him to re-introduce himself to this big global music industry. Also, Armaan suggests, that more and more Indian artists should push themselves to contribute to the success of the world music industry. In 2020, He sang for the films Darbar, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl and Khuda Haafiz.

In 2021, Armaan voiced songs for the films Saina, Koi Jaane Na, 99 Songs, Bell Bottom, Thalaivii, Bhoot Police and Velle. After which he teamed up with Daboo Malik, Amaal Malik and Kunaal Vermaa for the song “Barsaat”. Next, He sang Dr K.S.Chithra composed the song Meri Pukaar Suno.
As of 2022, Armaan paired up with Arista Records to release his new English single “You”.

It was told that Armaan and his brother Amaal were allegedly made to walk out of Kapil sharma’s show. But he denied the fact, saying they didn’t attend the show as he was out of town and Amaal had an important meeting.
