Early Life

Born on November 26, 1990, Rita Ora, full named Rita Sahatçiu Ora, is the daughter of Besnik Sahatçiu, pub owner and Vera, a psychiatrist. Born in Pristina, SFR Yugoslavia, she grew up in a family of five: her parents, elder sister Elena and younger brother Don.
She was named as Rita Sahatçiu but her parents added Ora to the family surname to make it easier to pronounce. Her family relocated to London in 1991 to London, England when she was a baby. Rita attended Sylvia Young Theatre School, a performing arts school.

Career

Rita Ora began her musical journey by performing at open mic sessions around London. Also, she performed occasionally at her father’s pub. Up next, Rita appeared for audition for Eurovision: Your Country Needs You, a BBC Television program. She aimed to be the British contestant for the Eurovision Song Contest 2009.
