Owen Wilson is a wonderful American actor, hilarious comedian and an excellent screenwriter. In association with the filmmaker Wes Anderson, Wilson shared written scripts and acting credits. It was for the films Bottle Rocket, Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums. For the film The Royal Tenenbaums, he also earned an Academy Award nomination for BAFTA Award for Best Screenplay.
Being a hilarious personality, Wilson had a good career as an onscreen comedian. His notable works are Zoolander, Starsky & Hutch, Wedding Crashers, You, Me and Dupree, How Do You Know and The Internship.

Early Life

Born on November 18, 1968, Owen Wilson is the son of Laura Cunningham Wilson, a photographer and Robert Andrew Wilson, an advertising executive and operator of public television. He grew up in Dallas , in a family of five: His parents, and brothers Andrew and Luke. Both of his brothers belong to acting field.
Owen was a part of New Mexico Military Institute and the great University of Texas at Austin. From there he did graduation and earned Bachelors degree in English.

Career

Owen Wilson made his debut with the film Bottle Rocket, an American crime comedy in 1996. After which he wrote the scripts for two directorial films by Andreson: Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums. This gained them an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay.
Wilson’s second appearance was in the film The Cable Guy. It was an American black comedy that earned over 102 million.

Successful period

In 2000, Owen featured in the comedy action film Shanghai Noon. With Jackie Chan by his side, the film arose to be a super hit with a collection of over $100 million. After this, his appearance in the film Zoolander alongside Ben Stiller and Will Ferrell added to his fame. 
Wilson came to notice of actor Gene Hackman, who then recommended him for a film. As a result, Wilson starred in Behind Enemy Lines, a 2001 action film. Later in the same year, He made an appearance in The Royal Tenenbaums which was a big success, financially and commercially. As a result, Their writing team earned a nomination for Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.

As a result of doing a good number of successful ventures, Owen Wilson became the face of a new £20 million advertising campaign for the UK sofa retailer Sofology. Again in 2019, he came back to Sofology for a second advertising campaign.

In 2021, Wilson made an appearance in the comedy film Bliss. It was an American drama and had a psychological storyline. Viewers were drawn along with the characters and couldn’t decide what is “real” and what may be an imitated reality. The same year, Owen reunited with filmmaker Wes Anderson and appeared in the film The French Dispatch, an anthology comedy-drama. It was a successful venture with earnings of 46 million. As a result, it premiered at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival.
Following this Wilson starred in the romantic drama Marry Me alongside Jennifer Lopez.
Currently, He is appearing in the American television series Loki by Marvel Cinematic Universe.
