Gautam Rode is an indian actor and host, working in entertainment industy since 2000. A good sportsman and average academic student, Gautam is the guy from Delhi. He began his career with modelling and commercials. And later began working as an actor for Television shows and films. He rose to fame with the StarPlus show Saraswatichandra and Suryaputra Karn.

Early Life

Born on 14th August 1977, Gautam Rode is the second child of Surendra Rode, a retired broker and Sangeeta Road, a jewellery designer. He grew up in a small family of 4 people: His parents and elder sister Rashmi.
Brought up in the capital city: Delhi, Gautam attended Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan for higher education. Later, He enrolled in Shaheed Bhagat Singh College for graduation. Soon, Gautam moved to Mumbai.

Career

Gautam Rode made his debut with the television show Jahan Pyaar Mile, aired on ZeeTV. In 2000, He made episodic appearances in the shows RishteyApna Apna Style and Thriller at 10. After two years, Gautam entered Bollywood with his debut film Annarth. He played the role of an inspector in this action thriller film and amazed everyone with his performance. It was a successful venture with earnings of 23 crores. Bollywood Hungama praising Gautam, wrote, “Newcomer Gautam Rode has good screen presence and impresses as an actor. He does very well in stunts.”

Initial Success

Gautam’s second film, U, Bomsi & Me, came out in 2005. He played the character of Sam Mac Patel and received positive reviews for his performance. One of the reviews, by Taran Adarsh, writes, “Gautam, who made his debut in ANNARTH [with Sanju, Suniel], has evolved as an actor. He is excellent in emotional
sequences when his wife walks out on him.”

The first notable role of Gautam happened in 2005 in the television show Baa Bahu Aur Baby. The show ran for five consecutive years and continued to gain love from the audience. The same year, He appeared in the show Lucky and played the title role of Lucky. This was a small show of 40 episodes and did not go very well.
Next, in 2008, Gautam did several supporting roles and cameos in shows such as, Princess Dollie Aur Uska Magic Bag, Ssshhhh…Koi Hai, Simplly Sapney, and Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na. The following year, He featured in the film Agyaat and was appreciated his hot-headed performance. The film went successful with a domestic collection of 45 crores.

Breakthrough

Gautam Rode experienced his breakthrough in the year 2013. It was when he played the title role in the StarPlus show Saraswatichandra opposite the actress Jennifer Winget. He gained critical acclaim for his performance. As a result, This show proved to be a turning point in his career. The show lasted for one year and fetched him many awards, including Gold awards for Best Actor and Indian Telly Awards for Best Actor in a lead role.

Two years later, Gautam starred in the mythological Thriller show Maha Kumbh: Ek Rahasaya, Ek Kahani. Unfortunately, the show did not perform well and ended in 2015. Later, Gautam appeared in Suryaputra Karn in the lead role. It ran for about one year, and merely a month after it ended, the actor appeared in Aksar 2.
In 2018, Gautam featured again in a mystery thriller show, Kaal Bhairav Rahasya Season 2. He played the role of Prince veer and gained enough excellent reviews.

Recently, In 2021, Gautam Rode appeared in the action thriller State of Siege: Temple Attack in the role of Major Samar and gained positive reviews. The same year, He appeared in the web series Nakaab which starred on MX Player.
