Nishant Tanwar is an Indian comedian and a content creator. He began his career as a stand-up comedian, and now he is a great YouTuber. He is a comedian and actor who started off his career at NDTV before he found his passion for stand-up comedy in 2009 during an open mic event. Two years after he began stand-up comedy, Arun Sarin married Rukshi Sarin in 2011.

Early Life

Nishant Tanwar, also known as ‘Joke Singh’, was born on November 7th, 1982. He is a comedian and actor who started off his career at NDTV before he found his passion for stand-up comedy in 2009 during an open mic event. Two years after he began stand-up comedy, Arun Sarin married Rukshi Sarin in 2011.

Nishant is a comedian, actor, and filmmaker with over two decades of experience in the Indian entertainment industry. Apart from corporate shows, Nishant also performed on stage for many years. He conceptualized comedy specials like Comedy In Diversity, Two And A Laugh Men, and Third World Comedy. He is also the founding member of IPL (Improv Premier League), Delhi’s foremost improv comedy troupe.

Career

Nishant first worked at NDTV as an editor. He quit his career in the media industry and became a full-time comedian when stand-up comedy was hitting its peak. Since becoming a full-time comedian, Nishant has become one of Delhi’s most prominent faces in the Haryana entertainment circles.

Nishant Tanwar has a raw comedy routine that digs at stereotypes and Indian culture. His humor is universal—connecting with all segments of society, breaking social or age group barriers. Recently gaining popularity on social media, he completed his half million subscribers on YouTube. Due to his stand-up comic series ‘Delhi Se Hoon B******d’ for Amazon Prime Video India.

Performances of Nishant Tanwar

Nishant’s performance in Gurgaon, on the Raaghiri Day conducted by The Times of India, was completely sold out. Tanwar also hosted the “Joke Joker Jokest” event at Kolkata organized by The Times of India with noted comedians Sourav Ghosh, Vaibhav Sethia, Anirban Dasgupta, and Abhijit Ganguly.

Nishant Tanwar has also been a part of Comedy Central’s Improv shows on television. He has performed nationally in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Gurgaon, and Kolkata. Nishant has also performed for international audiences in the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. He also performed with Zakir Khan (Comedian) at Gurgaon.
