Rupali Ganguly is an Indian actress most famous for her work on TV. She was a contestant on Colors TV’s reality game show, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 2. Rupali is also a voice-over artist; she gave her voice in the animation film Dashavatar.

Early Life

Rupali Ganguly was born on April 5 1977, in Kolkata, West Bengal, into a Bengali Hindu family. Her father, Anil Ganguli, is a director, and her brother Vijay Ganguli is an actor-producer. She also studied hotel management and theatre.

Later she bagged the lead role in Sukanya – a television show. Rupali married Ashwin K Verma on February 6 2013. She has a son, born on August 25 2013.

Career of Rupali Ganguly

Rupali Ganguly started her television career with Sukanya. It was followed by many hit tele series, making Rupali one of the famous actors on Indian TV screens today. Two particular shows catapulted her instant popularity: Star Plus’s Sanjivani, where she played Dr Simran and Sarabhai V/S Sarabhai, where she played Monisha.

Rupali Ganguly is one of the most popular actresses on Indian television. Her successful stints include playing pivotal roles on Kahani Ghar Ghar ki, Kavvyanjali, Adaalat, Parrvarrishh and Baa bahoo aur baby. She has also been a part of popular Hindi reality shows like season 1 and Khatron ke Khiladi on national broadcaster Doordarshan. Rupali owns an advertising agency in which she currently anchors a film-related show called Bioscope for National Channel DD News.

At 7, her first acting job was in Saaheb (1985). And then she followed by doing her father’s film Balidan. She made her television debut with Sukanya in 2000. In 2006 she also participated in Bigg Boss and appeared on Sanjivani and Bhabhi.

Later, in 2008 Zara Nachke Dikha, Karishma Tanna, Jennifer Winget & Mouni Roy aired on Colors TV. They competed against each other for prize money of 10 lakh rupees actress Jennifer Winget won. Still, it did not stop there as Nakusha competed again in 2009 Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 2 (2009).
