Sidharth Shukla | The great Actor, host and Model.

Winner of Bigg Boss 13 and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7, Sidharth Shukla was an actor, host and model working in Bollywood since 2008.
He is known from his works in tv series Balika Vadhu, film Humpty Sharma ki dulhaniya, and OTT Debut Broken but beautiful season 3.

Early Life

Born on December 12, 1980, Sidharth was the youngest child of Ashok Shukla, A civil engineer employed at RBI and Ritu Shukla, A homemaker. A resident of Mumbai, Sidharth belonged to a small Hindu family which consisted of his parents and two elder sisters. His father had lung disease, as a result, he lost him while his days of modelling.

Sidharth studied at St. Xavier’s High School, Fort, Mumbai. Following which, he graduated from Rachana Sansad School of Interior Design and held a Bachelor’s degree in interior design.
For a couples of years, Sidharth worked in an interior designing firm.

Career

Sidharth Shukla made his acting debut in 2008 with a Television show which aired on Sony TV. In that show, Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na, he played the lead role opposite the actress Aastha Chaudhary.

The following year, Sidharth played the role of Veer Vardhan Singh in the show Jaane Pehchaane Se… Ye Ajnabbi. The show came to an end in 2010, and after that Sidharth was seen in some episodes of the Horror show Aahat.

Breakthrough

Sidharth had a breakthrough after he made his appearance in the social drama show Balika Vadhu. Being one of the longest-running shows on Colors TV, The show gained him several awards and nominations. It was a successful show and made Sidharth highlighted. Indian Television Academy (ITA) Awards rewarded him GR8! Performer of the Year (Male)” award for his performance. He left the show in 2015.

The year 2013 saw him in the reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6. Unfortunately, he was eliminated in the eleventh week. Afterwards, He signed a 3-film deal with Dharma Productions.

Bollywood Entry

In the year 2014, With the film Humpty Sharma ki Dulhaniya, Sidharth Shukla finally made his Bollywood debut. He played the character of Angad Bedi, the fiancè of lead actress Alia Bhatt. His performance in the film earned him Stardust Award under the category of  “Breakthrough Supporting Performance (Male)”.Being an amazing speaker, Sidharth, in the years 2014 and 2015, appeared as the host of crime show Savdhan India and India’s Got Talent 6.

The very next year, Sidharth participated in a stunt-based reality show, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7. And eventually, to his fortune, he won the show. His successive appearance in the television series Dil se Dil tak, inspired by the film Chori Chori Chupke Chupke went well.

Bigg Boss 13

In the year 2019, The huge reality show “Bigg Boss 13” featured Sidharth as a contestant. All throughout the twenty weeks, he was voted as the most favourite contestant, most popular contestant and most tweeted contestant of Bigg Boss 13. Ultimately, Sidharth ended up winning the show along with affection from the audience.
After winning Bigg Boss 13, Sidharth Shukla got immensely popular, offering two music videos. Both  “Bhula Dunga” and “Dil ko Karaar Aaya” were quite successful. Again, he entered Bigg Boss 14 as Toofani Seniors, with Hina Khan and Gauahar Khan.

Web Series

On the OTT platform, Sidharth made his debut with the romantic drama Broken But Beautiful season 3. Along with the series, Sidharth’s performance invited critical appraisals both from viewers and critics.

Death

On September 02, 2021, the unexpected and unfortunate death of Sidharth Shukla took place. He suffered a heart attack.
