Sudha Chandran is an Indian actor who has won accolades in Bharatanatyam dance. Chandran is famous for her roles in Ramola Sikand in Kaahin Kisii Roz and Yamini in Naagin 1, 2, 3. She also played Chitradevi in Deivam Thandha Veedu and Seema.
Early Life
Sudha Chandran was born in Mumbai and raised there. Her family had migrated from Vayalur, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu to Palakkad Kerala. She completed her Bachelor of Arts at Mithibai College in Mumbai and earned a Master’s degree in Economics after that.
Chandran, who was 16 and living in Tamil Nadu when she had her accident, says the period after this event was one of the most challenging times of her life. She required hospitalization at Vijaya Hospital, where it became evident that gangrene had formed on her right leg. Doctors then amputated Chandran’s leg to save her life, but she remembers feeling depressed and wondering if there would ever be a happy day for herself again.
Sudha Chandran regained some mobility after the use of a prosthetic Jaipur foot. Afterwards she returned to dancing for two years, she performed in India, Saudi Arabia, the United States, and the UK. Sudha Chandran married assistant director Ravi Dang in 1994 and gave an honorary doctorate at Invertis University Bareilly (India).
The career of Sudha Chandran
Chandran’s career in the Telugu film industry began with Mayuri, based on her own life. They also released Tamil and Malayalam versions of the movie.

Her career in television includes the Ekta Kapoor-produced Kaahin Kisii Roz, where she portrayed the character of Ramola Sikand, which became an instant hit. She is one of the dazzling stars on Indian TV. She is also famous for her avant-garde sarees and heavy jewelry.
Chandran started her career with a Telugu film Mayuri, which was based on her own life. Later it dubbed in Tamil and Malayalam. From 1984 till now she has acted in many movies, TV serials and shows in different languages like hindi, telugu, and Malayalam. Besides her injury she gave tremendous dedication towards acting and dance awarded her below awards.

Ravikumar Dang is Sudha’s husband and the executive director of her school. Her willpower has been a symbol for many people. However, she also judges on Super Dancer Junior Series on Amrita TV and Maanada Mayilada as its sixth judge. Currently, Bhuvana’s role from Thendral is played by her.
