Urvashi Rautela | Youngest Most Beautiful Woman in the Universe

Miss Asian Supermodel 2011, Urvashi Rautela is an Indian model and actress working in Bollywood since 2013. She initially appeared in music videos followed by romantic and drama films; Sanam Re, Great Grand Masti, and Hate Story 4. Prior to participating in beauty contests, Urvashi did various commercials. Additionally, Urvashi is a fantastic dancer.

Early Life

Born on February 25, 1994, Urvashi Rautela is the daughter of Manwar Singh Rautela, a Businessman, and Meera Rautela, a Businesswoman. Brought up in Kotdwar, she lived in a small family of four people; her parents and her younger brother Yash. Urvashi did her schooling at DAV School, Kotdwar. She enrolled in Gargi College, New Delhi, for her graduation. Initially, Urvashi was not into acting and modeling and planned to do engineering. As a result, She appeared for the IIT examination. But as she engaged in beauty contests, she got more attracted to fashion.

Initial Glory: Pageantry

Urvashi Rautela, at the age of 15, experienced her first major break at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week. Appearing as a teen model, she was the show stopper for Lakme Fashion week. She walked at Fashion Week at Amazon, Bombay, and Dubai. As a result, Urvashi earned ‘Miss Teen India 2009’. The year 2011 became much brighter for Urvashi Rautela. She won three titles back to back: Indian Princess 2011, Miss Tourism World 2011, and Miss Asian Supermodel 2011.

Also, she was the first Indian woman to win Miss Tourism Queen 2011. This was in China. Being a successful model now, Urvashi received an offer for a film in 2011 with Arjun Kapoor, Ishqzaade. But she refused and kept her focus on winning Miss Universe. She went ahead as a representative of India in Miss Universe 2015, but unfortunately, she couldn’t make it. Additionally, she became the eager holder of the I AM She – Miss Universe India crown in 2012.

Acting career

Urvashi Rautela made her Bollywood debut in the year 2013. It was in the film Singh Saab The Great. The film went quite well financially with an earning of 36 crores. The next Year 2014, saw Urvashi being showcased in Yo Yo Honey Singh’s Music Video album Love Dose. The album was a super hit, It beautifully flashed Urvashi.

Following this, Urvashi entered Tollywood, i.e., South Indian Cinema. There she debuted with the Kannada film Mr. Airavata. Although The film received negative reviews, Urvashi’s dance performance was highly praised. “Urvashi is expressive and leaves her mark in the few scenes and songs she appears in, especially with her dancing”, wrote The Times of India. Subsequently, Urvashi Rautela featured in the Bollywood films Sanam Re and Great Grand Masti. Sanam Re did not receive great reviews but was a good financial success with earnings of 303.5 million. Other than that, She also made her appearances in the music videos Laal Dupatta and Gal Bann Gayi.

The year 2017 again saw Urvashi in the dance sequence Haseeno ka Deewana. It was in the film Kaabil with lead artists Hritik Roshan and Yami Gautam. Her dance performance gained both attention and appraisals from the audience. The great Actor Amitabh Bachchan complimented her for this dance sequence. Next in the queue, Hate story 4: The final Revenge Drama featured her in the lead role. Her performance earned excellent reviews both from critics and the audience. She played a character with twists and turns. It was so fascinating to see Urvashi turn into various emotions. Times of India reviewed her, stating, “There’s a lot on her table, and the pretty actress handles the myriad emotions and shades with ease.”
Recently, In 2020, During the Pandemic, she appeared in Virgin Bhanupriya: a comedy-drama released on ZEE5.

Recent update:

In May 2022, Urvashi made an appearance at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. She was seen attending the screening of Forever Young. At the same event, she got the opportunity to meet Leonardo Di Caprio. Upon meeting, Leonardo appreciated her for her acting skills and Urvashi couldn’t hold back her tears. It was an emotional moment for her. She was blushing and felt overwhelmed by the compliment.

Recently, at Umang Awards 2022, Urvashi surprised the audience with her superlative dancing skills. Umang Awards are hosted every year to honor the efforts of the Mumbai Police. Urvashi did a Bharatnatyam act on the show. She performed on Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’s song ‘Mere Dholna.’ Everyone at the function was amazed by her extraordinary performance. Urvashi was wearing a colorful and vibrant saree. Her performance became one of the best acts at the award function.
