Ariana Grande Butera is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She was born on 26 June 1993 in Florida, United States. Ariana is famous for her four-octave voice and incredible songwriting. Her songs like God Is A Woman and No More Tears Left To Cry are very much loved and appreciated by the audience. Ariana Grande is one of the best-selling artists in the world.

Early Life

Ariana Grande was born on 26 June 1993 in Boca Raton, Florida, United States. Her mother, Joan Grande, is the CEO of Hose-McCann Communications, a manufacturer of communications and safety equipment, and her father, Edward Butera, is a graphic designing firm owner.

Joan and Edward left Florida shortly after Ariana’s birth and moved to New York. Ariana Grande’s parents separated when she was nine or ten years old. She has a half-brother, Frankie Grande, an entertainer, and producer. Ariana shares a close relationship with her half-brother and maternal grandmother, Marjorie Grande. 

Ariana completed her schooling at Pine Crest School and North Broward Preparatory School.

Career Beginnings at Nickelodeon

From a very young age, Ariana Grande was sure that she wanted to make a career in music, but she also loved theatre and acting. In 2008, a Broadway Musical named 13 casts Ariana Grande as a cheerleader named Charlotte.

Then in 2010, Ariana starred in the Nickelodeon sitcom, Victorious, along with Elizabeth Gillies, who worked with her in 13. She played the role of the cute Cat Valentine; for the part, Ariana had to dye her hair red every other week, damaging her hair severely.

The show was a significant hit and was loved and appreciated by the critics. Victorious had a large fan following, especially amongst the kids and pre-teens. There were 5.7 million viewers of the show.

Musical Career

Ariana Grande’s debut studio album, Yours Truly, came out on 30 August 2013. The Way featuring rapper Mac Miller came out as the lead single from the album. Yours Truly was an instant hit, and the album sold 138,000 copies in its first week. It topped number one on US Billboard 200.

The lead single from Ariana Grande’s upcoming sophomore album, Problems featuring Iggy Azalea, came out on 26 April 2014. Ariana named her second album My Everything, which came out on 25 August 2014. The album came to the top of the US Billboard 200.

Ariana Grande’s third studio album, Dangerous Woman, came out on 20 May 2016. The love and appreciation received by the album made Ariana a world-recognized artist. Dangerous Woman was also the lead single released from the album. The album charted at number one on US Billboard 200 and various other music charts worldwide. Focus was the lead single from the album. 

Ariana’s fourth studio album, Sweetener, was supposed to release in 2016, but the incident at her Manchester concert led to a setback in the project. No Tears Left To Cry came out as the lead single from the album, and it debuted at number three on the Billboard Hot 100. 

Ariana Grande released the lead single from her fifth studio album, Thank U, Next from the alum, with the same title. The song’s music video broke the Vevo record for the most-watched video in 24 hours. 

Positions came out as Ariana Grande’s sixth album. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 200. It became her 5th album to chart at the top of the album.

Personal Life

Ariana Grande has revealed that she has struggled with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) since the terrorist attack at her Manchester show. She also suffers from Hypoglycemia, a condition resulting from poor diet habits.

Ariana Grande started dating singer Nathan Skyes in August 2013, but the duo broke up in December 2013. She then dated rapper Mac Miller in 2016 after the pair collaborated on the song The Way. The couple broke up in May 2018, and in the September of the same year, Mac Miller passed away due to an overdose.

Ariana Grande started dating a real estate agent Dalton Gomez in January 2020. The couple had a personal relationship until Ariana revealed it in the music video of Stuck With You, featuring Justin Beiber. After 11 months of dating, Ariana announced her engagement with Dalton, and the couple got married on 15 May 2021 in Montecito, California.
