Cartoon Network | One of the oldest animation cable channel

Cartoon Network is an American cable television channel owned by Warner Bros. Discovery Networks. The company has its headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.
History
Ted Turner founded Cartoon Network in the year 1992. He later appointed Betty Cohen ad the first president of the Channel. In 1992, Turner one of the founders of the company announced its plans to launch C N as an outlet for an animation library. Cartoon Network first launched a 24 hr single genre cable channel. After a few years, a new version of Cartoon Network Studios founded and then started production on What a Cartoon! The channel also aired two programs Big Bg and Small World at the very beginning. The network could then continue more original productions.
Programs
Over the years, Cartoon Network has aired various Looney Tunes, Merrie Melodies, Tom and Jerry and Droopy shorts in constant rotation, dating back to the network’s launch in 1992 until 2017. In its early days, C N also benefited from having access to a large collection of animated programming, including the libraries of Warner Bros. Turner’s ownership of Hanna-Barbera gave the network access to an established animation studio, something its rivals didn’t have. Most of these series, removed by 1999 and moved to Boomerang in 2000.
Original Series
Cartoon Network’s original programming originates from its in-house studio, Cartoon Network Studios. Some of the earliest original series, include Dexter’s Laboratory, Cow and Chicken, I Am Weasel, Johnny Bravo, and The Powerpuff Girls. Once Cartoon Cartoons was the branding for Cartoon Network’s original animated television series, but it was discontinued in 2008.
Production Studios

The company also has quite a few Production studios like C N Studios which is located in Burbank, California. They have made programs like Courage the Cowardly Dog, Sheep in the Big City, Codename: Kids Next Door, The Secret Saturdays, and many more.
Williams Street is also owned by the company which produced the original program Adult Swim. Cartoon Network Europe is another division of the company which provides content from the United Kingdom. C N Latin America Original Production another studio division of Latin America formed in the year 2019.
Marketing
One of the astonishing features of the Cartoon Network channel is its marketing strategies. The shows have immense fan followings, such as Dexter’s Laboratory which had allowed CN to have licence agreements with those interested in selling the merchandise related to the series. In product development and marketing, the network has benefited from its relation to corporate parent Warner Bros. Discovery. Time Warner Cable, the former cable television subsidiary, distributes Cartoon Network. Turner Broadcasting System is responsible for the immense popularity of Cartoon Network shows. Advertisements for the shows also used to appear in magazines such as Time, Entertainment Weekly and Sports Illustrated Kids.
Warner Bros Home Entertainment distributes VHS tapes and DVDs of the Cartoon Network shows. Rhino Entertainment distributed the cassette tapes and CDs with music related to CN. There was also Warner Bros Family Entertainment which occasionally used to release additional cartoons. DC Comics published a series featuring the Powerpuff girls. Warner Bros, the film studio subsidiary, released the movie Powerpuff Girls in the year 2002. All these initiatives are the reasons behind the popularity of CN and have managed to make a mark in the hearts of everyone.

Cartoon Network’s first original series was The Moxy Show and the late-night satirical animated talk show Space Ghost Coast to Coast.
When did Cartoon Network end?
Cartoon Network stopped airing shows pretty much before the year 2007 since most of them were cancelled.
