Karan Wahi is an Indian actor, television host, and model. He rose to fame after playing the role of Dr Siddhant Modi in the popular TV show Dill Mill Gayye. Wahi always played for the Delhi Under-17 cricket team before joining the entertainment industry. In addition to his acting career, Wahi has hosted various TV and award shows. He made his Bollywood film debut with a supporting role in the film Daawat-e-Ishq in 2014. Initially, Wahi wanted to become a cricketer, but he left the sport due to an injury. Early life

Karan Wahi was born on 9 June 1986 in Delhi. His father belongs to Punjab while his mother is a Kashmiri. Wahi completed his schooling at St. Mark’s Senior Secondary Public School. Later, he completed his higher studies at the IILM Institute. During his school days, Wahi played for his school’s cricket team and began his career as a cricketer. In the year 2003, he was selected for the Under-19 cricket team for Delhi along with Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan. Unfortunately, due to a major injury, Karan had to quit the sport. He enrolled in a marketing course and later joined his father’s business. During this time, Wahi discovered his passion for modelling and acting. Hence, he decided to pursue a career in acting and television. Wahi rose to fame after starring in the TV show Remix in 2004. He played the role of Ranveer Sisodia. 

Karan Wahi’s career

In 2004, Wahi made his acting debut with the television series Remix where he played the lead role of Ranveer Sisodia. The plot of the show revolved around the lives of 12th-grade students in an elite school. For his performance in Remix, Wahi won the Indian Telly Award for GR8 Best Male Newcomer. In 2009, he starred in the Colors TV show Mere Ghar Aayi Ek Nanhi Pari as the male lead. In the next year, he played the role of Dr Siddhant Modi in the popular medical drama series Dill Mill Gayye. This show proved to be Wahi’s breakthrough and he rose to fame.

Following this, Karan Wahi acted in various television dramas including Kuch Toh Log Kahenge, Teri Meri Love Stories, and Kahani Hamari…Dil Dosti Deewanepan Ki. In 2014, he made his Bollywood film debut with Daawat-e-Ishq. Wahi played a supporting role alongside Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Roy Kapur. Wahi also signed to play the lead role in a romantic film titled Babbu Ki Jawani in 2014. In addition to his acting career, Wahi has hosted several awards and television shows. These include the Indian Telly Awards, Zee Gold Awards, Star Guild Awards, Nach Baliye, and many more. Karan has also participated in various reality shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Khatron Ke Khiladi. His team won the first season of the reality show Box Cricket League. 

Lessons we can learn

Karan’s initial plans of becoming a cricketer failed due to his injury. But, he did not lose hope and made a successful life for himself. If we truly believe in ourselves, we can achieve anything.
