Kavita Kaushik was born on 15 February 1981 in New Delhi, India. Her birth name was Anandita, later changed to Kavita due to some astrological issues. Kavita was born to Dinesh Chandra Kaushik (an ex-CRPF officer) as single child. She completed schooling at All Saint’s School, Nainital, Uttarakhand. However, for higher studies, she went to Indraprastha College for Women, Delhi. Kavita started hosting different events and modeling while she was in college. Due to the fact, the early start is almost half done. Consequently, Her entry into the small screen happened with the TV serial ‘Kutumb’ in 2001. In 2016, Kavita acted as ‘Bhanumati’ on Dr. Bhanumati(Sab TV show). Kavita appeared as a celebrity guest on a cooking reality show, ‘Tyohar ki Thali'( 2017). Kaushik also entered the Bigg Boss house in Bigg Boss season 14. But she left the show after a verbal fight with Rubina Dilaik.

Kavita made her debut in the Punjabi movies with ‘Vekh Barata Chaliya’ in 2017. She received a warm welcome in the Punjabi movie industry. As a result of the audience’s love she received, Kavita went on for more Punjabi movies. Consequently, Kavita worked in ‘Badhaiyan Ji Badhaiyan’ and ‘Nankana.’
