Mahhi Vij came to the world on 1 April 1982 in New Delhi, India. This Punjabi girl has completed her schooling at Lilawati Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Delhi, and graduated from the University of Delhi. Since she had been interested in acting since childhood, she moved to Mumbai at 17 to build her career on the small screen.

To start her acting career, Vij moved to Mumbai at 17. She wanted some experience, so she started working in music videos, namely Tu, Tu Hai Wahi. In 2006, she got to play the main lead in the serial Akela. Subsequently, she appeared in a Malayalam movie named Aparichithan opposite the Malayalam star Mammootty. Further, she played the main lead Pratha in the TV serial ‘Shubh Kadam.’ Afterward, she got the most significant break in her career. She gained utmost fame through the role of ‘Nakusha’ in color tv’s serial ‘Laagi Tujhse Lagan.’

On the other hand, she also worked in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhlaja season 4. Similarly, she also participated and won Nach Baliye(2013) with her husband, Jay Bhanushali. It seems that Mahhi is quite interested in reality shows. She participated in Khatron Ke Khiladi 5, where she injured her leg. Due to this, she has to quit the show.

Mahi Vij has been married to Jay Bhanushali since 2011. Jay Bhanushali is a famous TV actor and a host of many reality shows. Although Mahi and Jay are actors, unlike others, the first meeting was not any shoot. They met at a familiar friend’s party. Jay was impressed with Mahi’s on their first meeting. He tried to change his ‘love at first sight’ to marriage. Finally, Mahi agreed. Jay and Mahi had a secret court marriage in 2011. Later in 2014, they married as per Christian custom in Las Vegas.
