Masoom Minawala was born on 17th December 1993 in Maharashtra Mumbai. Hails from Jewellers family of Mr. Rajesh Minawala and Mrs. Seema Minawala. A sweet younger sister of elder brother Dhanraj Minawala and elder sister Ruchi Kothari.
Completed schooling from Bombay Scottish School Mumbai. College from H.R.college of commerce and economics in Mumbai to pursue B.COM. Future enrolled herself for a diploma course in arts. However, she dropped out of the system and started a marketing internship with Brand Marketing India. Later, she worked internships at big companies like Calvin Klein. Then, she moved to join the University of the Arts London to pursue a diploma in Fashion Styling.
She started the first step of her journey to her goal at the age of 19. With a small footwear startup where she imported footwear from China sells them. But unfortunately, the business didn’t give many hits on the market. The first step was a failure for her.
Failed feet always seek a path of success by hook or crook. She started her blogging in fashion by setting up the Miss Style Fiesta portal in 2010. A fashion portal focuses on inspiration and trendy outfits in the making, democratizing fashion. Forwarding her career in growing through technique and promoting her website. She got a chance to work with brands like Jimmy Choo, Dior, Hakkasan, Gucci, Stella McCartney, Jo Malone, etc.
Minawala not only scaled herself up in the fashion industry. But also kept many open spaces for young talents in the field through fashion jobs in India.
Masoom as an active philanthropist
She raised funds for the UN’s National School Feeding Programme as part of a global campaign. She was also massively affected by COVID-19 in 2020. As a part of Dharma Bharathi Mission, a Mumbai-based NGO provides food to low-income groups.
Her fashion platform empowers women by providing personal tips #WomenInBusiness. In 2018, Minawala published a series of content to promote mental, physical, and spiritual health.

In 2012, Masoom started dating a diamond merchant, Shailin Mehta. After dating each other for around four years finally, tied the knot in 2016. Their wedding, famous as the #Shailoom wedding, received worldwide recognized by Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and CNN.
She was popularly known as a tomboy. She used to participate actively in most sports, mainly as a football team captain. An internship in famous brands made her look at fashion. That changed her life and built confidence that she could perform well.
