Pulkit Samrat | Young Model and Talented Actor in Bollywood

Pulkit Samrat is a young model and actor, who traveled from small screen to big screen making a successful career. From family dramas, romantic serials, and movies to funny role in Fukrey as Honey, he justified it bringing a box office success.

Pulkit Samrat’s early life

He was born to a Punjabi family on 29 December 1983, on schooling joined advertising institutions in Delhi. He quit once he got offered a modeling assignment. His career started as a model, and further debuted in the long-running television show by Balaji Telefilms ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’.

Then moving on he appeared as the lead in choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant’s musical theatrical Taj Express. In order to sharpen his acting skills he went to Kishore Namit kapoor’s acting school.

The filmy career of Pulkit Samrat

Pulkit Samrat is an actor, known for Bittoo Boss (2012), Fukrey (2013), and Jai Ho (2014). He made his debut in Bollywood through the movie Bittoo Boss, a romantic comedy film. In 2013, he played the role of Hunny in the comedy film Fukrey, produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. From there he was seen in a cameo role in Jai Ho as a police inspector. Then he played the lead in O Teri produced by Atul Agnihotri, opposite Bilal Amrohi and Sarah Jane Dias. In 2015, he was seen in Dolly Ki Doli opposite Sonam Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao. In 2016, Samrat starred in Divya Khosla Kumar’s Sanam Re opposite Yami Gautam. The film was a hit. Samrat has also been signed on for Vicky Bhari’s Ticket To Bollywood opposite Amyra Dastur.

Samrat starred in Sanam Re opposite Yami Gautam. and was again paired with Yami Gautam for Junooniyat in 2016. Pulkit came back with the second part of Fukrey as Fukrey Returns in 2017, which was a  box office success. In 2018, Samrat played the lead role in the romantic comedy film Veerey Ki Wedding opposite Kriti Kharbanda.  He appeared in Anees Bazmee’s directorial Pagalpanti in the year 2019.

In 2020, starred in the thriller drama Taish directed by Bejoy Nambiar, released on ZEE5 on 29 October 2020.

Personal Insights

Pulkit Samrat’s personal life has always hogged the headlines much more than his professional life. Married Shweta Rohira on 3 November 2014 a long-term girlfriend but within a year of marriage, they separated.  

This time again the actor’s personal life is creating a buzz as Yami Gautam is in a relationship with Samrat. He co-starred in the movies Veerey ki Wedding, Taish, and Pagalpanti he started dating Kriti Kharband. She also posted on his birthday.

During the interview, they had issues around and they parted out and decided to focus on each other’s career

In his personal life, he saw many failures and furious situations. He sorted out in a smoother way showing his patience and dedication to his career. He considers Salman Khan and Ronit Roy as his mentors and Smriti Irani as an inspiration.

In 2006 he won the Indian Telly Award for Best Fresh New Face For serial Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bhau Thi. Favorite Naya Sadsya (Male) at Star Parivar Awards for the same serial. 

So being young talent and the limited number of opportunities he made his footprint in the Bollywood industry. Also, He confirmed he is working on Fukrey 3 so let’s hope for his big hit at the box office.
