Rahul Dua is an Indian stand-up comedian and content creator. He won people’s hearts with his debut on Comicstaan, an Amazon Prime show. His works speak for themselves as he is quite a name in the stand-up community.
In 1992, Rahul Dua was born in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. He completed his schooling at Sacred Heart Convent School, Ludhiana. Both of his parents are in the teaching profession, and he has a younger brother.
Later he graduated from Thapar University, Patiala, with a B.Tech in Electronics. Rahul went to one of the top B-school Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi. He did his specialization in Finance and Marketing. Dua qualified for the CAT examination with the 99.4 percentile. He is also said to be a bright student and was counted among the toppers of the school. So we can see that whether it was a stand-up or an exam, he hits it with 100% accuracy.
Career of Rahul Dua
Rahul worked as an intern for Nokia in Gurgaon for six months. Then joined Citibank, Mumbai as a credit risk officer and eventually, he got the position of an investment banker. Rahul worked for the bank for around 18 months before joining Star India Private Limited as an Assistant Manager.
While working for Star TV, he found a passion for stand-ups and started giving night performances at Connaught Palace, Delhi. As he started growing as a comedic performer, he got paid for his performances. And this gave him the confidence to take stand up seriously and make it a full-time career.
He won NDTV Rising Stars of Comedy during his initial days in 2016. And then, he won the Comedy Central Chuckle Hunt organized in 2016. But when he performed in the Reality show Comicstaan he became a star comedian. Rahul won the position of 1st runner up in the front, and now he was known among one of the best comedians of this generation. His first solo tour, ‘Oh Hello,’ was one of the most awaited shows all around the country for stand-up lovers. But due to the coronavirus situation, he had to postpone it for some later date.
