Sabrina Carpenter is an American actress and singer born on 11 May 1999 in Pennsylvania, United States. She started her career as a child and rose to fame by playing Maya Hart in Disney’s Girl Meets World. Sabrina is known for her incredible acting and excellent comedy timing on the screen. Sabrina Carpenter is also famous in the music industry.

Early Life

Sabrina Carpenter was born on 11 May 1999 in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, United States. She is the daughter of David and Elizabeth Carpenter. Sabrina has three sisters, Sarah, Shannon, and half-sister Cayla. She stuck to homeschooling and did not go to the actual school.

Sabrina Carpenter always had an interest in singing and acting from a very young age. She started posting singing videos on youtube at the age of ten. Sabrina participated in the reality show The Next Miley Cyrus, a show run by Miley Cyrus. She was placed third at the end of the show.

Career at Disney

Sabrina Carpenter got her first acting role in the NBC drama series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Sabrina played a young rape victim in her guest role. 

She played a recurring role in Fox’s The Goodwin Games as Chloe. She got a regular role in the Disney series Gulliver Quinn. 

In 2013, Sabrina Carpenter played the role of young Merinn in the movie Horns. In the same year, she sang for the Disney album Disney Fairies: Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust. Her song All You Need charted on the Radio Disney and became a soundtrack for the animated show Sofia The First.

In 2013, Sabrina got to play Maya Hart in the Disney show Girl Meets World, alongside Rowan Blanchard. The show is the sequel to the series Boy Meets World.

Music Career

On 14 March 2014, Sabrina Carpenter released her debut single, Can’t Blame A Girl For Trying, and it charted on the Radio Disney. The song came out as the lead from her Debut EP, which came out on 8 April 2014 and received a good response from the audience.

Sabrina also features in the theme song of Girl Meets World called Take On The World, along with co-actor Rowan Blanchard.

On 13 January 2015, Sabrina Carpenter released We’ll Be The Stars as the lead single from her upcoming debut album. On 22 February 2015, she announced the title of her debut album, Eyes Wide Open. The same year, she won the Radio Disney Music Award for ‘Best Crush Song’ for Can’t Blame A Girl For Trying.

In October 2015, Sabrina released On Purpose as the lead single from her sophomore album, Evolution. Her second single, Thumbs, became a huge success and charted on the Billboard Hot 100. Evolution came out in February 2016. Sabrina Carpenter also got the chance to perform the song on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

Personal Life

Sabrina Carpenter dated her Girl Meets World co-actor, Bradley Steven Perry. The starting point of the relationship is unclear, but the pair kept it very private. Sabrina did not post about the relationship until after a year. The couple parted ways in August 2015.

Sabrina was in a relationship with her Tall Girl co-actor, Griffin Gluck. The two met on the set and hit it off instantly. Unfortunately, Sabrina and Griffin went their separate ways in September 2020.

In 2020, Sabrina Carpenter started dating fellow Disney actor Joshua Bassett. The couple was seen hanging out a lot together. The current status of their relationship is not known.

Recent Update:

On June 10 2022, Sabrina launched her first fragrance in partnership with Scent Beauty. The perfume is inspired by sweets that Sabrina loves. It has notes of chocolate marshmallow, vanilla, Chantilly cream, and sugared musks. The perfume launched on the e-commerce platform of Scent Beauty at the price of 30ml EDP for $29, 75ml EDP for $49. The bottle has tones of pink and rose gold and it is designed as a chocolate bar in faceted glass. Sabrina was extremely happy and excited to share the fragrance with her fans because she feels that her fans would love the sweet and sophisticated scent of her first perfume.
