Surbhi Jyoti | Bold face of the entertainment industry

One of the Bold faced women, Surbhi Jyoti is an Indian actress who works predominantly in television shows and web series. Working in the entertainment industry since 2010, Surbhi featured in several popular television shows, major of which is Qubool Hai. Apart from that she is known for her appearance in Naagin 3 and Koi Laut ke aaya hai.

Early Life

Born on 29 May 1988, Surbhi Jyoti belongs to a Hindu Family from Jalandhar Punjab India. Details about her parents are not yet completely revealed, but she has a brother, Sooraj who is an engineer.
Surbhi finalised her schooling at Shiv Jyoti Public School, Jalandhar. Following which she enrolled at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar for her graduation. And Later, she attended Apeejay College of Fine arts, Jalandhar for a Master of arts degree in English.

Career

Around the year 2009, Surbhi Jyoti began her acting career with theatre and films on a regional level. She has made appearances in the Punjabi language movies Ik Kudi Punjab Di, Raula Pai Gaya and Munde Patiala De. Also, Surbhi was seen in two of the Punjabi television series Akiyaan To Door Jayen Na and Kach Diyan Wanga.

Success

Up next, in 2012, Surbhi Jyoti featured in a television show Qubool hai. It aired on ZeeTv, and she played the role of Zoya Farooqui. Both her character and the show performed pretty well. Surbhi gained Indian Television Academy Awards for GR8! Performer of the year – Female and Zee Gold Awards 2013 for Best debut actress. Surbhi’s onscreen pair with Karan Singh Grover also went very popular and fetched them Best Jodi Awards. Qubool hai ran for two consecutive years, and Surbhi kept gaining appreciations. In 2014, the show went through a reboot, and Surbhi began playing the character of Sanam and Seher. That was when she paired up with the actor Karanvir Bohra. Actress with Karanvir won the Best onscreen Jodi award at the Zee Gold awards 2013.

She appeared as a host for all three seasons of the love drama Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya in 2015. After the end of Qubool hai in 2016, the actress starred as a host in Desi Explorers Taiwan, a travel-based web show; it also had other television actors. Next, in 2016, Surbhi entered the cameo for StarPlus show Ishqbaaz. Her character was Mallika Kabeer Choudhary, an architect by profession. The following year, She hosted another web show Desi Explorers Yas Island.

2017-18

The Year 2017 saw Surbhi in the web series Tanhaiyan. The series featured on Hotstar on February 14, 2017. The audience loved Surbhi’s character Meera and her paired actor Barun Sobti. The series featured her as an emotionally vulnerable fashion designer. Later, Surbhi got cast in the show Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai. It was a psychological thriller that starred on StarPlus. She played the character of a royal girl, Geetanjali. The venture did not go very well and ended in 2017 only.

Subsequently, In 2018, Surbhi featured in one of the big television shows, Naagin 3. She played the lead role and won broad level appreciation and nominations. The show gained high TRPs and ended after a year.

Present 2020-21

Recently, In 2020, Surbhi Jyoti was a part of the StarPlus show Yeh Jaadu hai Jinn ka. This was a fantasy-based show which attracted the public at a large level. The same year, she featured in two music albums: “Aaj Bhi” opposite Ali Fazal and “Judaiyaan” opposite Darshan Raval.
As of 2021, Surbhi made her entry back into digital media with the web series Qubool Hai 2.0. After 8 years of the ZeeTv show Qubool hai, Surbhi paired up again with Karan Singh Grover for this reboot. The comeback of this popular Jodi of Zoya and Asad amazed the audience.
