Tapsee Pannu is a 34-year-old actress and one of the bravest faces of Bollywood. From Telugu to Hindi Cinema, she has come a long way and has secured a great position for herself.

Early Life

Tapsee Pannu is an actress born in Delhi. Being the Daughter of Dilmohan Singh Pannu and Nirmaljeet justifies her Punjabi descent. This small family also includes her younger sister, Shagun Pannu.

Graduated in Computer Science Engineering from Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology, Tapsee had always been attentive and sincere towards her education.
Never in her life she had even this mere thought of being a part of Bollywood or making a career out of modelling and acting. It was just the acceptance she showed when little opportunities knocked on her door.

A critical reason which she reveals for being here is one of her teachers in school life. She mentions in a podcast that, Though she wasn’t into any dramas or plays that happened, her teacher strongly felt that she should be an actor.On narrating an incident, she says, “I was very good at hosting, so I just went to my teacher and told her that I want to host, and she blackmailed me, saying she would let me host only if I take part in the play”, and that was the very first-time Tapsee Pannu acted on stage. She didn’t like to work before that. But as she was a performer, a trained dancer, so stage fright was never her issue. Instead, the stage imparts her energy, and she feels good to be the point of attraction for the crowd.

Career

Tapsee Pannu, during her college days, gradually got into modelling just for the sake of earning on her own. Still, She was not much into this and focused on preparing for the CAT exam. But CAT results brought something else for Tapsee. Her scores were not entirely satisfying, so she decided to take a drop for a year and reappear for the exam. And for that one year, she thought to quit this monotonous profession of modelling and try acting. She already had some film offers, so it became more convenient for her to start up. She took this up, assuming it to be something creative and an add on to her experiences.

Ultimately she moved to Hyderabad when she was twenty-two years. There she did her debut movie in Telugu. Though she didn’t know even a bit of Telugu language, she learnt all the dialogues and did a great job. Following this, she did a Tamil movie, Aadukalam, in 2011.

Tapsee Pannu, after appearing in various south movies, did her Hindi film debut with ” Chashme bad door”. She got into light after her movie PINK-the courtroom drama. It was her bold female character who got critically and commercially successful. She kept rising from The Ghazi Attack and Naam Shabana in 2017 to Mission Mangal and Badla in 2019.

Her portrayal of Prakash Tomar’s character in the Biopic Saandh ki aankh made her win the Filmfare critics award for best actress. And In 2020, the Fierceness that Tapsee Pannu poured in Amrita’s Character for the movie Thappad gained excellent appraisal. Along with being at a good position in industry, Tapsee Pannu runs an event management company called The Wedding Factory with her sister shagun and a friend.
