Vikrant Massey | The Bright Indian Actor

Nominated for filmfare awards in the category of Best Actor – Critics, Vikrant Massey is a 34-year-old Indian actor. He is known for his works in the film A Death in the Gunj and web series, Criminal Justice, Mirzapur & Broken but Beautiful.

Early Life

Born on April 3, 1987, Vikrant Massey is the second son of Jolly and Meena Massey. Brought up in the City of Dreams: Mumbai, Vikrant belongs to a middle-class Indian family consisting of his parents and an elder brother.
Talking about his religion, his father side of the family follows Christianity while his mother side family Sikhism. He himself is a Roman Catholic.

Vikrant was educated at St. Anthony’s High School in Versova. He graduated from R. D. National College of Arts & Science in Bandra, Mumbai. Being a well-trained dancer, he was a stage performer from the very beginning. As a result, at the mere age of seven, he used to participate in small-time dancing and theatre shows actively. He decided to make a career in arts with the support and suggestions of his teachers.
Apart from this, his interests include travelling, playing video games and cricket.

Career

The first television show of Vikrant Massey was Balika Vadhu which aired on Colors TV. He worked with the actress Vibha Anand, and the show was a great success.
Because he was a modern jazz dancer, So Before this, he worked as a choreographer in the famous show Dhoom Machaao Dhoom.
After another big Television Show, Qubool hai, on ZeeTV, Vikrant Massey finally made his Bollywood debut. It was in 2013, with a side role in the film Lootera. The first film with Vikrant in the lead role was A Death in the Gunj. With box office earnings of 13.7 billion, film aroused as a significant success. And he received critical acclaim for his heartfelt performance. Also, the film gained him a nomination for Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor.

Subsequently Vikrant Massey appeared in several Bollywood films including Half girlfriend, Lipstick Under My Burkha, Chhapaak, Cargo and Haseen Dilruba. Being a twisted love story, Haseen Dilruba witnessed a different character played by Vikrant.
The year 2020 saw Vikrant Massey in the successful web series; Mirzapur, Criminal Justice and Broken But beautiful Series. His performance in the Thriller Criminal Justice gained critical appraisals. Apart from this, Vikrant appeared in commercials for Cadbury, FINOLEX LED, Nescafe, Khazana Jewels, Samsung Galaxy, Cornetto and Idea 4G.
