Ankit Tiwari | Success voice behind a hit song “Galliyan.”

Every occasion needs a song to chill and enjoy, from sitting alone to vibe with best buddies. When we hear a song first thing that comes to mind is music; next to it is a singer. Singers play vital roles in bringing up the songs in the desired manner. India’s well-known playback singer, mainly for Galliyan, is Ankit Tiwari, a music director.

The early life of Ankit Tiwari

Ankit Tiwari was born on Thursday, 6 March 1986, in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. His parents Rajendra Kumar Tiwari and
his mother, Suman Tiwari, are both devotional singers. And also he has a brother Ankur Tiwari, a music
composer. He completed his schooling at Jugal Devi Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Kanpur.
As part of the singing family, his parents had a group, Raju Suman and Party, where they hosted holy convocation. Ankit’s interest in music led his parents to train him professionally. Hence trained in classical music from Vinod Kumar Dwivedi before training in piano, Dhrupad, and Western vocals.

Career

Initially started in radio station ‘Radio Chaska’ in Gwalior as a production head. From the singer’s background, he went to Mumbai with his brother Ankur to try his luck at singing. He stayed with Anuj Kumar, a cameraman, but unfortunately, he took off jingles writing job for TV commercials until 2010.

As music directorial debut film, Do Dooni Chaar, released in 2010—later composed the theme song of Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster. But he wasn’t recognized yet till 2012. That’s when Aashiqui 2. Mahesh offered him to lend his voice for the song “Sunn Raha Hai,” which was a chartbuster. He further lent his voice to more chartbuster songs, including ‘Tu Hai Ki Nahi’ from Roy (2015), ‘Dil Cheez Tujhe Dedi’ from Airlift (2016), and ‘Tere Liye’ from Sanam Re (2016).
Not only as a singer but also as a music director, he worked on movies like “PK” (2014), “Khamoshiyan” (2015), “Tum Bin 2” (2016), and “Sadak 2” (2020). He has featured in the music videos like ‘Badtameez’ (2016), ‘Mehbooba’ (2018), and ‘Tere Do Naina’ (2019). Apart from songs Kuch Toh Hua Hai, Singham Returns, and PK, released another piece the same year, the most successful track was “Galliyan” from Ek Villain.

Personal Life

With an engaging story of how he met his life partner. His grandmother found Pallavi an ideal match for her grandson, which she completed in 2017 when she traveled on a train from Kanpur to Delhi after a normal conversation. Pallavi Shukla, a mechanical engineer, married on 23 February 2018. The couple is blessed with a baby girl, Aryaa Tiwari. And recently, in February 2022, these couples were seen on StarPlus as contestants in Smart Jodi.

Ankit Tiwari’s new love song “Mehfooz Hai” with an outstanding performance by Terence Lewis. Further came with the album Aaram De, Shaamat, and movie songs Ek villa returns. He ventured on a triumphant journey from struggling to become a singer to a well-known playback singer, music producer, and director, hoping to hear from the beloved singer with some other projects.
