Jaden Smith | American Actor and rapper

Jaden Christopher Syre Smith is a 24-year-old american actor and rapper. He debuted in 2006 with the film The Pursuit of Happyness. In 2010 he began his musical journey by featuring alongside Canadian singer Justin Beiber. Along with that, he starred in the remake films The Day the Earth Stood Still and The Karate Kid.

Early Life

Born on July 8, 1998, Jaden Smith is the son of actors Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith. He grew up in a family of four: his parents, elder half brother Trey and younger sister Willow. He studied at New Village Leadership Academy in his school years. After which, he got homeschooled by his parents.

As Jaden Smith has done works both in acting and music, his career story would briefly have two divisions:

Acting career

Jaden Smit began his acting journey in the year 2006, debuting with the film The Pursuit of Happyness. For his excellent acting, he won the Breakthrough Performance award at the 2007 MTV Movie Awards.
After a break of two years, In 2008, Smith appeared in the science fiction film The Day the Earth Stood Still. This was the remake of the 1951 classic of the same name, directed by Scott Derrickson. The film was a great success with earnings of 233 million over the budget of merely 80 million.

The year 2010 saw Jaden Smith in The Karate Kid, a martial arts drama film, a remake of the 1984 film. This was a successful venture with a collection of 359 million over the budget of just 40 million. Following this, In 2013 Smith starred in an American post-apocalyptic action film, which was also a successful film. In the year 2014, Smith’s return to Karate Kid 2 was announced. The next year, He starred in the film The Good Lord Bird, based on a novel published in 2013.

Music

Jaden Smith began his musical journey in 2010. He rapped alongside Justin Bieber in the song Never say never. The song earned worldwide acclaim and got peaked 8th on the Billboard Hot 100. It was certified 5× Platinum in the US.

It was in 2012 when Jaden made his debut mixtape, The Cool Cafe. After which, he released the sequel to the same on November 8, 2014. The same year, Jaden started working on his debut studio album. It took him three years to complete this , and he titled the album Syre. The lead single “Fallen” of this album was released in December 2016. Following this , more singles, Batman” , “Watch Me” and “Falcon” were out in 2016-17. On November 17, 2017, Syre was released and debuted at number 24 on the US Billboard 200. On the same day , another single “Icon” released and got on no. 3 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles.

Present

In 2020, Jaden Smith released his single, “Cabin Fever”, a part of his third album CTV3: Cool Tape Vol. 3. It was described as a completion of the trilogy of the previous Cool tapes and also kinda completing the trilogy of Syre and Erys at the same time.
After which, In 2021, Jaden released his single “BYE”. Along with that, He also made another version of the album CTV3: Day Tripper’s Edition on all streaming plat.
