Charlie Puth was born on 2 December 1991 in Rumson, New Jersey, USA. His mother, Debra, was a music teacher who also wrote commercials for HBO, and his father, Charles Puth, was a builder and a real estate agent.
When Charlie was two years old, a fatal dog bite incident gave him a permanent scar on his right eyebrow. Charlie Puth’s mother introduced him to classical music and taught him the piano at four. The Count Basie Theatre hired him to play in a Charlie Brown production.
