Divyanka Tripathi | Journey from IAS to Actress

Titled as Miss Bhopal 2005, Divyanka Tripathi is a 37-year-old Indian actress, working in entertainment industry since the year 2005. With a bold and beautiful personality, Divyanka is called ‘Expression Queen’. She is known for her performance in the Starplus show, “Yeh hai Mohobbatein”. Also, she is the winner of Nach Baliye season 8 and Runner up of Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 11.
Early Life
Born on 14 December 1984, Divyanka Tripathi is the second daughter of Mr Narendra Tripathi, A pharmacist and Mrs Neelam Tripathi. Belonging from Bhopal, she was brought up in a family of five people: Her parents, an elder sister, Priyanka Tripathi and a younger Brother Aishwarya Tripathi.
Divyanka was educated at Nutan College of Bhopal. Being the adventurous kind of girl, Divyanka did a mountaineering course from Nehru Institute of Mountaineering in Uttarkashi.
Since childhood, she attracted to acting and drama. She used to actively take part in the plays, dramas and telefilms in her hometown Bhopal. Her father badly wanted that she be a part of the National Cadet Corps (NCC). As a result, she joined the Bhopal rifle academy. She performed well enough and earned a gold medal in rifle shooting.
Career
The very first job that Divyanka Tripathi did was in a school as a host of All India Radio (AIR). In the year 2003, she won the title of “Miss beautiful skin” in Pentene Zee Teen Queen. The very next year, she was in the show “India’s Best Cinestar ki Khoj”. And fortunately, listed in the Top 8 from Bhopal Zone. And later, in 2005, she won the title “Miss Bhopal”.
Divyanka Tripathi began her acting journey with a debut telefilm for Doordarshan. After that, she worked in the show Yeh Dil Chahe More on the channel Star One. Next year, she appeared in the Zee Tv drama ” Banoo Mai Teri dulhann”. She received wide appraisals for her performance as Vidya. Also, she got into a relationship with her co-actor Sharad Malhotra for nine consecutive years. She won several awards Indian Television Academy Award for Best Actress in Drama Category and Indian Telly Award for Fresh New Face.
Apart from acting, Divyanka aspired to be an army officer. So, in between the big show “Banoo Main Teri Dulhan”, she had to leave for IAS preparations. But to her fortune and tremendous efforts, she convinced her parents and entered back in Bollywood.
Subsequently, she made her appearances in the reality show Jjhoom India, Participated in Nachle Ve and 9X Jalwa’s Four 2 ka 1. Following this, Star plus Horror thriller Ssshhhh…Phir Koi Hai featured her in 2009. Along with that, Mrs. & Mr Sharma Allahabadwale and Chintu Chinki Aur Ek Badi Si Love Story showed her in a comedy role.
Breakthrough
Divyanka Tripathi’s breakthrough took place in the year 2013 when the big Star Plus show ” Yeh hai Mohobattein” started. Opposite to the co-actor Karan Patel, Divyanka played the lead role, Dr Ishita. Her character began making its place in the hearts of viewers. This Television series gained her many awards and recognitions as well. The show lasted for six consecutive years and remained at Top position till the end. She received a Shan-E-Bhopal Award and Two awards at the Gold Awards: for Face of The Year and Best Actress in a Lead Role.
During the show, Divyanka married to one of her co-actors Vivek Dahiya. He is also an indian actor and has played supporting roles till now. The couple participated in Nach Baliye Season 8 in the year 2017. And their chemistry & performance made them win the show.
Recently, Divyanka appeared in The stunt based Reality show, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 11.

On 8 July, 2016 Divyanka Tripathi tied knot with Vivek Dahiya at her hometown Bhopal.
Were there any controversial comments on Divyanka?
One of the controversies that happened with Divyanka was when she was in the show Nach Baliye 8 with her husband Vivek. She was injured during a performance and was criticised by some viewers for faking an injury. She verified later through a video.
