Biography

Hardik Pandya was born on October 11, 1993, in Surat, Gujarat. He was not good in studies and left his school in class ninth when he could not clear his exams, to focus on cricket. Hardik’s father was a huge fan of cricket and he often took him to watch matches which made him interested in the field. Hardik has an elder brother named Krunal Pandya who is also an international cricketer.

Early Life and Family

Hardik belonged to a financially weak family. Pandya’s father ran a small car finance business which he shut down when the family shifted to Vadodara. His father decided to move to Vadodara to facilitate his sons with better cricket training facilities. Hardik’s father managed to get his two sons enrolled in Kiran More’s cricket academy in Vadodara. The two brothers have mastered their game from the same academy. He married Natasa Stanković on May 31, 2020. And also, a couple is blessed with a boy baby on 30th July. They named him Agastya Pandya.

Born in a financially weak family, the successful cricketer has struggled a lot during his early days. The Pandya family lived in a rented apartment in Gorwa, and the brothers used a second-hand car to travel to their cricket ground.

Career

Hardik Pandya has been playing for the Baroda cricket team since 2013 against Mumbai. He got selected and played for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premium League 2015.

Pandya has also played International matches. He made his Twenty20 International debut for India in 2016, when he was just 22. Since then Pandya has played several T20Is.

The cricketer made his ODI debut for India against New Zealand in 2016 and has played several ODI’s to date.

Ahead of IPL 2022 mega auction, he was released by Mumbai Indians and drafted by Gujarat Titans as their captain.
