Ravi Dubey | Success Story Of The Wonderful Indian Actor

Ravi Dubey is an Indian actor, model, television presenter, and producer. He was born on 23 December 1983 in Uttar Pradesh, India. Ravi began his career in 2006 by playing one of the lead roles in the show Stree Teri Kahani. After that, he also played some minor roles in shows like Doli Saja Ke and Yaha Ke Hum Sikander. Ravi Dubey made his way towards success by starring in family drama shows Saas Bina Sasural and Jamai Raja in 2010 and 2014, respectively. Both shows made his establishment as an actor even stronger. He is married to another Indian actress, Sargun Mehta.

Early Life

Ravi Dubey was born on 23 December 1983 in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, but he grew up in the nation’s capital Delhi. His father, Sh. Gyan Prakash Dubey is a qualified Civil Engineer and has worked in top management with many real estate organizations in the Delhi/NCR Region. 

Not much information about Ravi Dubey’s life before becoming an actor is known. He came to Mumbai from Delhi to study but instead got lost in the city’s glamour and started his modeling career.

Career Beginnings

Before stepping into the acting field, Ravi Dubey was a model. In 2006, he began his acting career by playing the lead role in Stree Teri Kahani. Dilip Kumar and Saira Bano were the producers of the show.

After that, he played the lead role of Ravi in the show Yahan Ke Hum Sikander. Ravi Dubey has been part of more than 40 commercial ads in his career. 

In December 2008, Ravi replaced Vinay Rohrra in portraying the male lead in Zee television’s Ranbir Rano. After the show ended, he was cast opposite Sargun Mehta in Zee television’s soap opera 12/24 Karol Bagh.

Breakthrough

In October 2010, Ravi Dubey starred in Sony Entertainment Television’s Saas Bina Sasural. He played the character of Tej Prakash Chaturvedi. While working in the show, Ravi began his film career in Bollywood; he signed for Aron Govil’s 2011 Hindi film U R My Jaan.

Besides acting, Ravi Dubey has also been part of some reality shows. In January 2012, he participated in Sony Entertainment Television’s reality-based comedy series Comedy Circus titled Kahani Comedy Circus Ki. After that, he came in the fifth season of Nach Baliye, along with Sargun Mehta. The pair became the first runner-up of the show. 

In May 2013, Ravi Dubey became the host of the show India’s Dancing Superstars after replacing Mohit Malhotra. He has also appeared with Shweta Salve at Indian Television Academy’s ramp show Fashion Ka Jalwa.

Personal Life

Ravi Dubey met Sargun Mehta on the set of her first show, 12/24 Karol Bagh, and the pair began dating. The couple’s marriage took place on 7 December 2013. 

Ravi is a follower of Nichiren Daishonin Buddhism. He started following it when he was going through a rough patch in life and wanted some understanding of the chaos that was going on. He has revealed that whenever things got out of control, he began chanting at that time.
