The best selling author of 2015 and 2018, Twinkle Khanna, is a multi-talented Indian writer, actress and interior designer. She is the newspaper columnist for Daily News analysis and The Times of India. Her books Mrs. Funnybones and Pyjamas Are Forgiving gained critical appraisals from readers making them the bestsellers.

Early life

The Bollywood beauty Twinkle Khanna was born on the 29th of December,1974, in the city of Dreams: Mumbai. Being the daughter of the Famous Actors, Late Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia, it was apparent for Twinkle to shine on Indian television.

She did her schooling at New Era High School, Panchgani. And Later attended the excellent institute, Narsi Monjee College of Commerce and Management, for her graduation. Being a studious girl, Twinkle Khanna wanted to be a Chartered Accountant. But, as a result of failing in the examination, she joined the Bollywood industry.

Career

Twinkle Khanna, in the year 1995, started her career with the romantic film “Barsaat”. With the box office earnings of 34 crores, the film was a super hit success.
The film became the sixth highest-grossing film, and Twinkle Khanna received the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.

After that, she worked in the films Jaan and Dil Tera Diwana. Among them, Jaan film arised as the superhit one. the superhit But Dil tera Diwana didn’t go too well. Her subsequent appearances in the movie Uff! Yeh Mohobbat and Itihas were also not well enough commercially.

Finally, she got a super hit film Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai opposite the actor Salman Khan. With box office earnings of 219 million, the film was a successful one.
Subsequently, she was seen in the films Badshah for the lead role, Yeh Hai Mumbai Meri Jaan, Mela, Jodi No.1 & her last movie Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega. As a result of her lost interest in Bollywood, She quit it post her marriage with Akshay Kumar.

Along with being a pretty actress, Twinkle Khanna is also an excellent interior designer and a newspaper columnist. So there is a lot about her career to which is worth to be known.

Interior Designing

In the year 2002, Twinkle Khanna established her interior design firm named “The White window”. She is running the firm in partnership with her friend Gurlein Manchanda. Her work is going quite nicely, and the store has gained Elle Decor International Design Award. Without holding any professional degree for the designing course, Twinkle has done projects quite well.

She had worked with an architectural firm for two consecutive years to learn proper procedures. Interiors of residential places of actresses like Rani Mukherjee, Reemma Sen, Tabu and Kareena Kapoor are done by Twinkle Khanna. Along with the projects, she mentors the International Institute of Fashion Designing’s Academy of Interiors.

Writing

Twinkle Khanna’s first book Mrs Funnybones, launched on August 8, 2015, became the bestseller at Number 2 on Nielsen List. The book gained critical appraisals both from readers and the press. Twinkle became the highest-selling female author of India for the year 2015.

Her second book, The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad, became quite famous. More than 1,00,000 copies were sold. This was a collection of four short stories. Her recently launched book, Pyjamas Are Forgiving, also went well enough. As a result, she gained the title ‘highest-selling female author in India’ again in the year 2018.
