Tulsi Kumar is an Indian Singer, musician, actress & Radio Jockey, working in Bollywood Industry since 2009. Tulsi rose to prominence with the love songs Sanam Re, Soch Na Sake, and Tere Naal. She has also collaborated with great singers like Jubin Nautiyal and Darshan Raval.

Early Life

Born on March 15, 1986, Tulsi Kumar Dua is the daughter of Late Gulshan Kumar, A businessman and Singer, and Sudesh Kumari. She was born and brought up in a family of five; her parents, brother Bhushan and sister Khushali. Belonging from New Delhi, Tulsi enrolled at Lady Shri Ram College for women after completing her schooling. She did graduation in Economics and psychology.

Tulsi was the most loved kid of her parents. There is a story that reveals the reason for this. After Bhushan and Khushali, Tulsi’s parents planned not to have a third child. But after the sudden death of Gulshan’s mother, he prayed to god to have a girl child. Somebody told him that he would get a baby on March 15, his mother’s return. And Tulsi was born on that day.

Tulsi was an intellectual and focused girl in school. At the age of merely six, she started taking music training. As a result, She joined Suresh Wadekar’s academy. Being the daughter of a great Singer and founder of T-series, It is evident for Tulsi to gain fame in Bollywood.

Tulsi began her career in 2009 with her debut album Love Ho Jaaye. She also created a video for the title track. Next, she sang ‘Mujhe Teri’ from the film Paathshaala and the love song “Tum Jo Aaye” from Once upon a time in Mumbai. Both of the songs gained much love from the audience.

Later in 2015, Tulsi Kumar gave voice to the song “Mainu Ishq Da Lagya Rog,” whose sister Khushali made her screen debut. The song was a recreation of the original version, featured in the film Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin.

Tulsi Kumar gained both fame and love from critics and audiences in the coming years. After she voiced the songs, ‘Soch Na Sake’ from the movie Airlift, “Sanam Re,” the title track, “Nachange Saari Raat” and “Ishq di Latt” from Junooniyat, “Salamat” title track, “Wajah Tum ho” and “Dil me Chhupa Lunga.” She also sang the recreational version of the famous love song “Dil Ke Pas.”. In 2019, Tulsi paired up with Guru Randhawa in Enni Soni’s song.

She paired up the popular singing sensations Darshan Raval for the song Tere Naal and Millind Gaba for Naam. Also, the T-series official YouTube channel released her single “Tanhaai.” It arose to be super successful and gained over 11 crore views.

In the following year, 2021, Tulsi Kumar released her second single, “Pehla Pyaar ka Pehla Gham” with Jubin Nautiyal. The video featured Parth Samthaan and her sister Khushali. The same year, she released the song Main Jis Din Bhula Doon. Also, it was a collaboration with Jubin Nautiyal. Later Tulsi was seen as a host for the show Indie hai Hum. Tulsi Kumar continued her work in June 2021 with Amazon Prime mixtape season 3. In October 2021, she paired up with Darshan Raval for #ShaadiWalaSong Tera Naam. Also, the song gained immense love from its fans, and it crossed over 9 million views. As a result, It became trending #2 on YouTube Global Charts.

In 2022, Tulsi Kumar collaborated with renowned dancer and choreographer, Ganesh Hegde. The duo has collaborated for Tulsi’s new song “Jo Mujhe Deewana Karde.” The track will also be featuring popular Indian model and actor Rohit Khandelwal. In an interview, Tulsi stated that she is overjoyed to work with dance legend Ganesh Hegde. “Jo Mujhe Deewana Karde” is going to be Tulsi Kumar’s first official dance video. It will be released on T-Series’s YouTube Channel.
