Personal Life
Frenkie De Jong was born on 12 May 1997 in Gorinchem, Netherlands. He later grew up in Arkel a town in South Holland. He was born to John De Jong and Marjon Schuchhard-De Bruijn. Both Frankie’s parents played football his father used to play for the first team of ASV Arkel. Frenkie started playing football at an early age, he began his professional career with Willem II in 2015. He is in a relationship with Mikky Kiemeney, they both met each other in their high school days. Frenkie and Mikky are dating each other since 2014. Mikky is a professional Hockey player. She played for HC Den Bosch’s women’s team.
Club career
Frenkie was initially a player for Willem II and played through the entire youth system at the club. De Jong was purchased by Ajax in 2015 on a four-year contract. He made his senior debut in the 2016-17 season. He also played Europa League that season with Ajax. Ajax played their first European final after 21 years. Frenkie also rejected an offer from Tottenham Hotspur and wanted to play a full season in his preferred position at Ajax in 2018. De Jong achieved success, and widespread recognition, during the 2018–19 season and led Ajax to their first domestic double. They also played UEFA Champions League and went till the quarterfinals where they lost to Tottenham Hotspur. Even though they lost but De Jong made it to the 2018-19 UEFA squad of the season and was also voted midfielder of the season.
In the Year 2019 Spanish club, Barcelona announced the signing of Frenkie De Yong on a five-year deal. De Yong made his debut in 2019 against Athletic Bilbao. He played a very important role in Copa Del Rey and won the Championship over a 4-0 victory against Athletic Bilbao. He even scored two goals and gave an assist.
International career
De Jong made his debut for Netherlands’ u-19 team in 2015 against Russia. In the year 2018, he made his senior debut against Peru replacing Georgino Wijnaldum at halftime. He soon became a regular starter for the Netherlands in the 2018–19 UEFA Nations League and the UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers.

Frenkie is one of the best midfielders in the present times and he has won many awards in both collective and Individual. He won the League trophy (Eredivisie) and KNVB Cup with Ajax in the 2018-19 season. He also won Copa Del Rey with Barcelona in the 2020-21 season. Individually he won Eredivisie Player of the season, player of the month and the team of the season in 2018-19. UEFA Nations League Finals Young Player of the Tournament in 2019, UEFA Nations League Finals Team of the Tournament in 2019, He also won UEFA Team of the year in 2019, Barca Players Awards in 2020-21. Frenkie also has won many awards.

How much was Frenkie de Jong?
Barcelona signed De Jong from Ajax for £86 million in 2019 and he has since made 140 appearances for the Catalan club.
