Manushi Chhillar | Promising Fresh face of Industry

Manushi Chhillar is a 24-year-old Indian actress, model and the winner of the pageant Miss World 2017. She participated in Femina Miss India 2017 as a representative of Haryana, which she won. Also, Manushi has won various unique titles like India’s Hottest vegetarian and Most desirable woman of India.

Early Life

Born on 14 May 1997, Manushi Chhillar belongs to a Haryanvi family of Jhajjar district. She is the daughter of Dr Mitra Basu Chhillar, a physician and scientist at Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), and Dr Neelam Chhillar, a medical doctor and departmental head of neurochemistry at the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences.

Manushi attended St. Thomas’ School, New Delhi for her higher education. From the very beginning, She was quite intelligent and became an India CBSE topper in English subject in class 12, and scored 96 per cent on her boards. Later, she cleared the All India Pre Medical Test, now called NEET, in the first attempt. Manushi studied medicine at Bhagat Phool Singh Medical College.

Career

  Manushi Chhillar initially stepped into the limelight by participating in pageants. Following this, she moved forward to the Bollywood industry and began working as a model and actress.

Manushi participated in several pageants in her initial stage and many of them earned positive results. Two of her significant pageants are:

Femina Miss India

Manushi entered in pageantry through Campus Princess 2016, which was sponsored by Fashion Big Bazaar. She won crown as a finalist from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. As a result of the event conducted by Miss India Organisation, Manushi went ahead to win the title of Femina Miss India Haryana in April 2017.
She earned the crown “Miss photogenic”.

Miss World 2017

In 2017, Manushi Chhillar represented India at Miss World. She became a finalist in the Top Model, People’s Choice, and Multimedia competitions. Also, she won the Head-to-Head Challenge from Group Nine and was co-winner of the Beauty with a Purpose competition.
As a result, On November 18, 2017, Manushi won the big title Miss World 2017 by outgoing titleholder Miss World 2016, Stephanie Del Valle.

Bollywood

Manushi Chhillar made her Bollywood debut with the film Prithviraj by Yash Raj Productions. The story is based on the life of the great Prithviraj Chauhan, a Rajput King from the Chahamana Dynasty. As a result of several auditions, She was finalised for the role of Prithviraj’s wife. Manushi featured alongside Akshay Kumar in the lead role. According to the schedule, It was to be released in 2020. But Covid 19 pandemic delayed it. As a result, New schedule came out later and started that the film would release on 5 November, 2021.

Here’s what Manushi says about her role in the debut film: “It’s a huge responsibility to play princess Sanyogita, a powerful personality who stood up for what is right and took the most important decisions of her life herself”. As a result, Manushi signed a three film contract with Yash Raj Films. Her upcoming film is titled The Great Indian Family, a comedy drama.
